New Toy & T-Ball

Last year we never set up the pool in the back yard. This year we weren't going to be putting it out either, due to camping. So, we finally decided to set up the trampoline that Uncle Gerry gave the boys a few years ago.

I think we were the coolest parents and then the meanest all in the same day. We put up this new 'toy' and then we make all these rules that go with it!

They had a great time!
Mark and I even took our turns at jumping. What a work out! I think I'll be fighting the boys for trampoline time.
(Did you notice - in the picture with Logan jumping, Carter is grabbing his 'unit' and then when Carter is jumping, Logan is picking his nose!! Gotta love little boys!!)

Carter had his first night of T-Ball last night. He has been asking for weeks when he gets to go play, and FINALLY the night arrived.

He made friends quickly and talked a lot!! Not a bit like Grandpa Skerik at all. :0)

They named themselves the 'Blue Monsters'!
(A couple of the kids had seen the movie Monsters vs. Aliens.)

In case you're having trouble picking out Carter, he is the one that his grabbing himself again!

Doing some drills.
They had Carter hitting right handed and he had three really good smacks!
He then ran.......just like his mommy, swinging his elbows.
Hopefully his excitement will last all season!

The Harlem Globetrotters

The Easter Bunny brought the boys two tickets each to go and see the Harlem Globetrotters. They were nice enough to take Mommy and Daddy!
They did pretty good sitting for 2 hours. Carter was losing interest closer to the end but then something got his attention and all was good.
We had really good seats.
The boys really liked the mascot, Globie. He did some tricks before the game.
Logan was really into the game and cheered when the Globetrotters scored.

Here the main Globetrotter is giving a player from the other team to a fan as a souvenir!

There was a flag on the play, so they went into a game of football instead of basketball. The boys really laughed when the player bent over, kept tooting in the face of the guy behind him.
Globie's big brother came out and did some tricks. Again, Logan loved him!
At half time I went down and bought the boys a basketball and a program. Carter held onto that ball and wasn't letting go!
Cheering!
Harlem Globetrotters - 75 Washington Generals - 66
Our own little Trotter!
He was pretty proud of himself to do this trick.
Once the game was over, the players were giving autographs. We went and stood in line to get the Big Easy to sign the basketball. He signed the ball and the program and the boys got their picture taken with him. You'll need to go on line @ www.harlemglobetrotters.com/fanphotos and select the city Medicine Hat and then Gallery 11. They should be the first picture. You'll see the cost is just outrageous and this is why one won't be bought!
The boys also were asked to do a quick interview on our local CHAT news about the game. I have the tivo set so I'll be sure to see if they made it.
Thanks for the fun family night Easter Bunny!!

Happy Easter!

We had another crazy busy Easter weekend.
Mom and Dad, Grandma & Grandpa Spagis, Keri, Nick and Jakzen all made the trip to spend the weekend with us. We did things a bit different this year: we had the Easter Bunny come on Friday night and we also vetoed the turkey dinner and had steak and stuffed potatoes instead.
We had our own little special bunny show up for a little while!

Keri had asked Logan to get some toys for Jak to play with and the bunny ears and eggs are what Logan brought to him. The eggs were his favorite toy the entire time he was here.
We also celebrated Dad's birthday with everyone here. Today is Dad's actual birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!! - I think he enjoyed being with all his boys!
Grandpa's cake.
Blowing out the candles.
Getting a lot of help with the presents!
Really like these next pictures!
Carter was entertaining Jakzen with his wonderful 'CHOO CHOO PEANUT BUTTER' song. The cute thing was, is that Jak was thoroughly mesmerized with Carter and stared at him the entire time. As for the rest of us, that little tune will be ingrained in our heads forever!!
The Easter Bunny brought Logan a couple badminton rackets and birdies. While I was out checking out some garage sales with Mom and Grandma, I found more 'grow-up' rackets and nets that have never been used! The boys had a few matches with everyone.

Grandma had a great time watching the boys and enjoyed her time with Jak.
Sunday was a wonderful lazy day. Nothing better than sitting out in the sun, enjoying a good book.
Logan continued to read into the night. He was determined to finish his chapter book.
Carter even got Great Grandpa to read a Clifford book to him. We all got a little chuckle listening to Grandpa, 'WOOF WOOF said Clifford'.
It was a fun weekend! I call Easter for next year!
