Things have changed! I think the best field trip I went on in Kindergarten was to the fire hall.....maybe the Dairy Queen! Logan got to go to the Tyrrell Museum. It was a long day for the little guy. Just before we left Drumheller he asked he if he had ball or not when we got home. He was really tired and didn't think that he could play.
I had never been to the museum myself so I thought it was pretty exciting. Would like to go back with just our kids or maybe even alone?!? There is a lot to read. If you haven't gone in a while it is worth the trip. I heard they just did a $500 000 upgrade to the place. I can believe it.
The little turkeys had enough money in their kindergarten fund to rent a coach bus for the drive up there. Complete with bathroom, tv's with DVD players and really comfy seats. Myself and another mom drove up. I think the ride on the bus with all those kids may have been a little much. Not sure how those teachers do that every day. I took a bunch of pictures.......here are a few. Getting them uploaded was a chore so they aren't in the proper order.
This room was fun! The kids were able to take foam balls and shoot them out of tubes. They would go into the air, off the wall, into the flowers and at anyone you aimed the tube at. Logan was quick to aim it at me. The war was on after that, my rapid fire with just my arm was quicker than any tube!
This is the big guy that greets you around the first corner.
This is the 'bus' the kids got to ride on.
They broke the kids up into two groups and they had a little presentation. Here they got to touch a fossil of some small flying dinosaur.
Check out the look on Logan's face.....goofy kid.
This is the leg of a T-Rex. Logan looks pretty tiny next to it!
During the presentation the boys got to make their own dinosaur. This is the final outcome for the boys. (Logan and his friend Ryan)

Hard at work building!
This guy was my favorite.....a three horn! (Not sure how to spell the right word, so instead of trying and embarrassing myself I'll just avoid it.)

Logan got to hold a very special fossil.......you can't see it all that well..........it is a pile of dinosaur poop! The boys were tired and Ryan wasn't feeling all that well so they decided to drive home with us in the van. We put our DVD player on and they just hung out until Logan fell asleep just before Brooks.
I was fascinated with these large dinosaurs outside of the tourist information centre. On the way home I had to stop to get a picture. Logan and Ryan are under his belly.
This guy is triple the size of the first one. Check out how small the fifth wheel looks beside it.
Before everyone got back on the bus we got a group photo of all the munchkins. I counted 43.
Wow the order is really bad! We are back inside.......here is the big T-Rex. (You got it....don't know how to spell that one either!)
